About the Municipality of Jemmel
The Municipality of Jemmel was established on February 19, 1921. The city is located in the central-eastern region of Tunisia, within the Governorate of Monastir, approximately 20 kilometers south of the governorate's capital. The municipality has a population of more than 50,000 inhabitants and includes several administrative districts, namely Jemmel East, Jemmel West, and Jemmel North.Historically, it is known for its vast agricultural lands and fruit trees, especially almond trees.
